Case Study

Oxfam Hong Kong, founded in 1976, is an independent development and humanitarian organisation dedicated to fighting poverty and injustice. Part of the Oxfam confederation, it collaborates with partners globally, implementing long-term development, providing emergency relief, and advocating for policy changes. Additionally, in Hong Kong, Oxfam champions pro-poor policies.

We’ve designed Oxfam Hong Kong’s Annual Reports for over five years. Crucially, balancing localisation with Oxfam’s international branding has been a key challenge. Our solution integrates strong visual storytelling and clear information design, specifically tailored for local audiences while adhering to global standards. Consequently, our design for the Oxfam Annual Report 2016/2017 earned the Excellence Award for Small Size Entries at the HKMA 2018 Annual Reports Competition.

Lutheran Theological Seminary (LTS), located atop To Fung Shan in Shatin, Hong Kong, provides a peaceful setting for theological education. Deeply rooted in the Lutheran tradition yet ecumenical, LTS welcomes students from diverse denominational backgrounds. The seminary offers over 30 programs—from certificates to doctorates—in a biliterate and trilingual environment. Specifically, LTS emphasizes spiritual, intellectual, and practical formation, blending biblical and theological study with real-world internship experience.

Our primary role with LTS involves designing newsletters and annual reports, aiming to enhance the seminary’s public image. We position LTS as modern and forward-thinking, while still firmly grounded in its heritage.

Furthermore, in 2022, LTS appointed us to design their 110th Anniversary Memorial Bulletin. Working across time zones (UK to Hong Kong) created logistical challenges; however, we successfully transformed these into strengths, delivering the publication within a highly compressed timeline. Ultimately, the final result proves that thoughtful, effective design transcends geographical boundaries.

Coventry Central Hall, established in 1932, is a cornerstone of the city’s community life, offering a welcoming, historic venue. Its mission is to nurture hope, faith, and love, providing an inclusive space where individuals can connect and engage in various activities.

Since 2022, we have proudly partnered with Coventry Central Hall, delivering a broad spectrum of design services for the thriving community. As a matter of fact, our work supports vital local initiatives—including the Fusion Programme, the Family Learning Programme, and various grassroots activities. Thus, through thoughtful, purposeful design, we help amplify the impact of these programmes, enriching lives and strengthening Coventry’s social fabric.
